The CAMS system operates under the authority of the Proceeds and Instruments of Crime Act (PICA, Cap. 08:03) and in collaboration with:

- Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC)
- Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA)
- Office of the High Court
- Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS)
